Intonation Music Festival
Intonation Music Festival

Welcome

The 2006 Intonation Music Festival will return to Chicago's beautiful Union Park to kick off the festival season June 24th and 25th. This year's IMF will be curated by VICE Records. The two-day concert will be headlined by VICE Records artists Bloc Party and the Streets, plus a stellar line-up of the best up-and-coming artists from around the world performing on alternating stages.

In addition, the festival is proud to welcome influential radio station KEXP as our web media sponsor. Widely considered the gold standard for independent music on the Internet, KEXP will help preview this year's festival and spread the word about our latest developments.

But what if we told you that you will also be able to slake your thirst with Sparks Energy Drink? Woo hoooooooooo! You wanted more food than last year? Check. As if this lineup wasn't enough... ...we are proud to announce that GHOSTFACE has been added to Saturday's bill. This original member of the mighty Wu-Tang Clan has been blowing up the charts (and your radio) with his hot new Fishscale LP.
Also...we've added another cool non-musical endeavor - the Quimby's Zine Bazaar. Get something fresh to read - if you can tear yourself away from the stage.

Roky Erickson We are thrilled to announce that Roky Erickson, the mastermind behind the fabled 13th Floor Elevators, will be playing his first show outside of Austin in decades at this summer's Intonation Festival. We are truly honored to have him.

Are You Kidding? Blue Cheer? Robert Pollard? The Sword? Rhymefest? Erase Errata? Bill Dolan? We have just added even more bands to the coolest, weirdest festival lineup ever. Tickets are flying off the e-shelves, so get on it or risk watching from the pool in Union Park (trust us, you can't see anything from there).

Also, we are proud to welcome back Goose Island Brewery as a sponsor. Get your livers ready.

The Chicago Reader We are thrilled to announce that the Chicago Reader will be on board as a sponsor once again this year. Pick up a copy every week (as if you don't already)!
